Just
playing... look below for the original. Trudy liked this
one better than the color.
A
grey tree frog! This little guy was climbing around on
the porch, and blended perfectly with the concrete. He
crawled up the wicker chair I was sitting in, then went
to sleep on the end! Cute little buggers.

I used to collect frogs as a kid and keep them over
the winter. It is a good thing I never found any of
these, or I would have killed them too by accident.
These guys are really neat, because the name Grey Tree
Frog is really quite wrong. These guys can go from a
deep dark green, to charcoal black, to white, and to
brownish. They change colors to blend in! You can see
his slightly different shade in some pics, but he
couldn't get the flesh tone right.

Trudy and I made it to the Stuart Horse Trials right
near us (next door to our favorite park, Boughton!) I
have never been to horse trials before, and I profess to
know nothing about them. You couldn't ask for a more
perfect day for it! 75 degrees and sunny, hardly any
wind. I was not used to this exposure, so there is some
technical difficulties there, but I had a lot of fun
shooting the riders and their horses! Here are some of
the better ones.

June 2004
I was cutting into some brush in the yard with the
Super Weed Eater to get a better view, and look who I
stumbled across!
1024x1000
or so... Who just mowed my favorite spot?
800x600,
Mama deer taking a snack break. I was only 15 feet away
from her. She was a bit nervous, but surprisingly
trusting. If she only knew what I think of her snacking
ways!

Snakes in love! These darned things were having a
grand old time, right under an electric fence at Miller's
Nursery near Canandaigua, NY. I had to spend too
much time removing the wire with Photoshop, but it sure
beats moving it by hand!
Before
editing and
after.
Try doing THAT with film dad! (He was bragging about
the resolution of his slides the other night)
