Spectacular sunset evening.

A few days earlier, we had ugly weather, the April 16th Nor'Easter. It actually lasted from April 15th through the 17th. Blah!

Some recent shots of a tornadic storm over Rochester, NY, Full resolution so they are HUGE! Taken from the roof of the house. Yes, I am a nut.

Storms to the left of us, storms to the right! Why do they always pass us by? The clear slot is what is headed our way.
This was the base of the rotating cloud.
A more distant view. Note lower left of the cloud. That is the South-west corner of the storm. Pretty much over Irondiquoit, NY at this point

The storm to our south. No thunder to be heard, but it was a heck of a blob on the radar.

This would have been sweet if I hadn't missed it. Grrr!

A serious kick-ass lightning show. Missed most of the awesome lightning shots thanks to "dark frame subtraction". What a frigging pain.

800x450. No, my white balance was correctly set for cloudy. Yes, this is odd looking. This is due to a large thunderstorm to our south while the sun was setting. The sunset colors were reflecting off the large thunderhead, but it was obscured by clouds. It looked very creepy and ominous, and we could rear the rapport of thunder just to our south. Really cool weather!!!

  A few weather lightning shots. I didn't know lightning pictures were so damn hard!!! Every time the camera was taking the "dark frame" for noise reduction, I would miss a fantastic shot! Really, really frustrating.

Moon rise, handheld with telephoto. Not pleased at all with the Raynox. However it is still a cool pic.

Wild drifts from the recent snow storm. "marching waves" I call them. I think they result from persistent linear winds.
